The Rustburg Red Devils wrestling team is making a run for the title. They are undefeaded in dual meet matches. They have also competed in three tournaments and placed top three in their three so far. At the Louisa Invitational the team placed second behind only Brodway. At the Rustburg Invitational the Red Devils wrestling squad placed frist among the eight team feild. At the L.C.A. Invitational the squad placed first among thirteen team feild and had five individual champions including 112 pound Phillip Spence, 125 pound Ryan Bobbitt, 140 pound Brandon Cordier, 171 pound Matt Carr, and 215 pound Aaron Hudnall. The Red Devils also won the Court House Classic tournament at Randolph-Henry High School. The devils beat out the Appomattox Raiders in the finals and consolation finals. Two key matches in the consolation finals were the 103 pound Nate Torrence in pinning the raider that pinned him in the first round and 215 pound Aaron Hudnall who pinned Craig Dunn from Appomattox. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
